Privacy and terms of use

English translation of the Arabic privacy page, provided for reference. Last updated: October 2026. This page covers the website Tajweed Sadaqah (tajweedsadaqah.com). Tajweed Sadaqah uses the Quran Foundation APIs to provide the Quran text with tajweed colours and the recitation audio.

What we collect

Nothing. Tajweed Sadaqah has no accounts, no sign-in and no advertising; we add no analytics or tracking tools, and we set no cookies. We do not collect, sell or share personal information, and we do not use anything you do on the site to build profiles or to train AI systems.

Cloudflare, which hosts the site, shows us general totals from its own server records, such as the number of visits and the countries they come from, without cookies and without anything that identifies you.

What stays on your device

Your browser keeps, on your own device only: your reading settings (text size, colours on or off, repeat choice), the last verse you read, your bookmarks, the text of surahs you read for up to seven days, the fonts of mushaf pages shown, and whatever you choose to save for offline reading in the installed app (nothing is saved without your choice, and saved text is refreshed at least once a week when online, as Quran Foundation's terms require). None of this is sent to us or to anyone else. You can delete what you saved under «Offline reading» in the settings, or delete everything by clearing this site's data in your browser settings, or by removing the app from your home screen.

Services involved

• Cloudflare hosts the site and is also the registrar of the domain tajweedsadaqah.com. Like any web host, it receives your device's internet address to deliver the pages, and also uses it to protect the site from abuse by briefly blocking anyone sending far too many requests. • Quran Foundation provides the Quran text with tajweed colours and the list of recitation audio files. Our server asks for it on your behalf; your device is not identified to Quran Foundation in that request. Quran.com / Quran Foundation privacy policy
• Mushaf fonts. The Quran fonts are downloaded to your device from Quran Foundation (verses.quran.foundation), which receives your device's internet address to deliver them.
• Audio streaming. When you tap a verse, the audio file is streamed to your device from the address supplied by Quran Foundation (mirrors.quranicaudio.com), which receives your device's internet address to deliver it. Audio is not saved on your device by this site.

Security

The site is served only over encrypted connections (HTTPS). The private key used to request the Quran text and audio is kept on the server and is never sent to your device. We hold no personal data, so there is no user data to lose. If we ever learn of a security problem affecting the site or the Quran Foundation keys, we will report it to Quran Foundation within 24 hours and post a notice on this page.

Your rights

Because we collect no personal data, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete. Everything kept on your device can be removed by you as described above. If you have any question or request, write to us and we will reply within 30 days.

Terms of use

• Tajweed Sadaqah is free and offered as a charity, as it is, without warranty.
• The Quran text is shown exactly as provided by Quran Foundation and is never altered.
• The tajweed colours are a learning aid. They do not replace learning recitation from a qualified teacher.
• If you notice anything that looks wrong, please tell us so it can be corrected.
